I am proud to say Stephanie is a friend of mine. You don’t just get to have people like this in your life all the time. I’m one of the lucky ones.
She’s the type of person that you can’t be in a bad mood around. She’s hilarious, energetic, excessively giving and can bake pretty much anything. Going through some changes in her life, she decided to finally take my advice and get her pin-up photos taken. We listened to the Beach Boys and the Shirrelles, danced a little, and laughed until it hurt.

These are awesome pictures-it’s looks like she’s stepped back in time!She looks like she is having so much fun too. I love the phone and the close up smile-very beautiful job ladies!
Here is a sneak peak at the process of a pin-up shoot. Melissa had her hair done by Lorraine at Stone Mill Salon & Spa before coming to the studio. Her makeup was done by Sandra, from Before and After Makeup. We love working with Sandra, as she always brings the exact right kind of energy, among her fantastic makeup skills. It doesn’t seem like work when everyone is doing what they love, while chatting and laughing.
Melissa had the French maid outfit all ready to go for the shoot and we had to think of another idea as well. I asked Melissa if her husband had any favorite foods. Apples. Apple pie. Apple crisp. Apples disappear quickly in her household.
Here is a little taste of her shoot. Her husband will just have to wait and see what else we did…

Danuta and Joanna! I absolutly LOVED this session with the both of you! This is my second time doing this kind of shoot and I didn’t know how it could get any better but it did. I loved the energy and how the session flowed so well, it went by so fast and I had so much fun while I was doing it!
I loved my look and the whole process of make up and hair this time it was new and fun for me. The planning process really helped me pull together my look and make it just right for me to enjoy and feel good in front of the camera.
I really think every woman needs to do this for themselves at least once-it’s an amazing feeling to see how beautiful you truly are-surprise yourself and do it for you, you won’t regret it.

Pin-up clothing, or 1950′s style clothing in general isn’t easy to find. And let’s face it, the clothing has the ability to make or break the pin-up shot. We are thrilled that lovely Stef has opened a retro clothing boutique called Betties and Bombshells in Niagara Falls! This store is a fantastic way for ladies in the Niagara region to find alternative clothing. December was a busy month. We thought we’d show you a sample of some pin-ups that we did.
C. got her hair done so perfectly that it took 8 washes to get all the product out. I’m kidding of course, but you get the picture. Her friend Sarah from the Storm Hair Group in St. Catharines did her hair and we couldn’t have been happier seeing her walk through our door! Here are a couple of samples from her shoot. We loved the rolling pin that she brought in that belongs to her boyfriend’s grandmother!

Shantelle came for both boudoir (coming soon) and pin-up photos as a gift for her fiance. Sometimes we wait for the right girl to do a specific pose. Shantelle was the perfect girl for the first pose you see. She makes it look easy but it’s actually pretty difficult to hold. The second photo was kind of a joke. Shantelle has some Polish roots in her family. Combine that with us being full on immigrant Polish, and you see the results in the second photo.

Natalie had her photos taken as a gift from her godmother. She had seen a pin-up photo with oranges as the prop that she liked so we customized a different look with apples. Here are two of our favorite apple themed photos.
