July 2011 Pin-up Special Event! ~ Niagara Pinup Photography

Pin-up Special Details:

1. Bookings will be every hour, on the hour. This will give you time to change and get ready.
Fri 1 – 8 pm
Sat 12 – 6 pm
Sun 12 – 6 pm

2. Payment is required upon booking to secure your spot. This is non-refundable. If you must cancel, we need 48 hours notice and we’ll be happy to reschedule for a future date. We accept E-mail transfers, Visa and Mastercard. We also accept Cash and Cheques if you want to stop by.

3. Professional hair and makeup is best! However, if you decide to do your own, please use google and youtube as resources for tips, styles and ideas. Fake eyelashes go a long way! If you would like to get your hair or makeup done but have no idea where to start, we’d be happy to give referrals.

4. Clothing should be 50′s inspired. Please visit our friend Stef at Betties and Bombshells in Niagara Falls for any wardrobe help. You can also order an outfit online, go to used clothing stores or rummage through your own closet for outfits.

5. If you order anything extra on top of the offer, all products will be 15% OFF, only for this 3 day event.

6. Ordering/viewing will occur at a later date. If you are local, we’ll show you your images on a projector screen and go through all of our options. If you are from out-of-town, we will send you a link to a private gallery for you to choose your images.

7. This is meant to be super fun, so bring your ipod or a friend! If you have any artists or music that puts you in a great mood, bring it! If you have a friend that cheers you on, bring her/him too!

8. If you would love to do something like this but need help, we offer free consultations! You can come meet us, flip through pin-up materials, see our studio and products, and get to know us. Consultations can also be held over the phone.

9. Props are welcome! If there’s something you’d like to bring for your shoot, just make sure it fits your look and we’ll be happy to photograph you with it.

10. All photos will be taken on a white background.

Pin-up as a Gift ~ Niagara Pinup Photography

Heather wanted to give her husband an anniversary gift he’d never forget. He loves hockey. A lot. She snuck out a bunch of his gear to do this shoot. He had no idea.

She was apprehensive about getting the makeup done. The red lips. She doesn’t typically wear makeup, let alone red lipstick. But with the support of a friend and the advice of ourselves and the makeup artist, she chose to go all the way. Out of her comfort zone. Doing something different, something new, something awesome. The results were perfect.

Melissa ~ Niagara Pin-up Photography

Here is a sneak peak at the process of a pin-up shoot. Melissa had her hair done by Lorraine at Stone Mill Salon & Spa before coming to the studio. Her makeup was done by Sandra, from Before and After Makeup. We love working with Sandra, as she always brings the exact right kind of energy, among her fantastic makeup skills. It doesn’t seem like work when everyone is doing what they love, while chatting and laughing.

Melissa had the French maid outfit all ready to go for the shoot and we had to think of another idea as well. I asked Melissa if her husband had any favorite foods. Apples. Apple pie. Apple crisp. Apples disappear quickly in her household.

Here is a little taste of her shoot. Her husband will just have to wait and see what else we did…

Melissa - Danuta and Joanna! I absolutly LOVED this session with the both of you! This is my second time doing this kind of shoot and I didn’t know how it could get any better but it did. I loved the energy and how the session flowed so well, it went by so fast and I had so much fun while I was doing it!
I loved my look and the whole process of make up and hair this time it was new and fun for me. The planning process really helped me pull together my look and make it just right for me to enjoy and feel good in front of the camera.
I really think every woman needs to do this for themselves at least once-it’s an amazing feeling to see how beautiful you truly are-surprise yourself and do it for you, you won’t regret it.
