Kelly – Niagara Pinup Photography

When we think about our dream pin-up appointment, we think of someone as excited as we are, someone who researches and shops for all appropriate clothing, shoes and accessories, someone who comes with ideas and then is open to try whatever we like, someone who appreciates the details in getting it right, and someone willing to have an afternoon of fun.

Meet Kelly. A dream. Kelly came so prepared that she even had two beach balls instead of one, just in case one popped. Now that, is “prepared”. We spent an afternoon going through some amazing pin-up ideas, listening to music, laughing and going through several outfits.

Editing down afterwards was nearly impossible. Kelly’s posing, facial expressions and outfits were perfection.

Freezing a Moment Photography Promo Video – Sneak Peek

We recently had the opportunity to shoot a promo video for Freezing a Moment Photography. We can’t tell you any details yet, but we can show you some of the images we took on that day.

We chose three common session themes for Freezing a Moment. The first was baby Vanessa. Vanessa is enrolled in our baby plan and you’ll see more images of her 8 month shoot very soon. She’s got the cutest cheeks and chubbiest legs, you can’t help but want to knead them! Mom brought along a bathing suits, sunglasses and lounger for super cute summer themed photos. As you may be able to tell, Vanessa liked being in the tub of water

Secondly we have a the owner of Betties and Bombshells, Stef. Betties and Bombshells offers all sorts of retro goodies and outfits. The dress she is wearing is from her store! (I happen to love this dress!). When Stef walked in, with new hair colour in tow, we were really excited to get all that colour on camera. Here are a few of her photos from the pin-up shoot we did.

Lastly, we have a family. On location family photos are great because the children get to just hang out and not feel stuffed in a studio on a beautiful day. It allows for play and spontaneity. Lily has had her photos taken with us her whole life (all of two years) and we’re awaiting the arrival of number two! This was a perfect opportunity to capture the family before a new baby edition arrives. Here are some of our favorites of their shoot. Lily has one of those sweet and innocent little smiles that had to be captured before it transforms into something else. She is also, without a doubt, a daddy’s girl.

Pin-up Special Details:

1. Bookings will be every hour, on the hour. This will give you time to change and get ready.
Fri 1 – 8 pm
Sat 12 – 6 pm
Sun 12 – 6 pm

2. Payment is required upon booking to secure your spot. This is non-refundable. If you must cancel, we need 48 hours notice and we’ll be happy to reschedule for a future date. We accept E-mail transfers, Visa and Mastercard. We also accept Cash and Cheques if you want to stop by.

3. Professional hair and makeup is best! However, if you decide to do your own, please use google and youtube as resources for tips, styles and ideas. Fake eyelashes go a long way! If you would like to get your hair or makeup done but have no idea where to start, we’d be happy to give referrals.

4. Clothing should be 50′s inspired. Please visit our friend Stef at Betties and Bombshells in Niagara Falls for any wardrobe help. You can also order an outfit online, go to used clothing stores or rummage through your own closet for outfits.

5. If you order anything extra on top of the offer, all products will be 15% OFF, only for this 3 day event.

6. Ordering/viewing will occur at a later date. If you are local, we’ll show you your images on a projector screen and go through all of our options. If you are from out-of-town, we will send you a link to a private gallery for you to choose your images.

7. This is meant to be super fun, so bring your ipod or a friend! If you have any artists or music that puts you in a great mood, bring it! If you have a friend that cheers you on, bring her/him too!

8. If you would love to do something like this but need help, we offer free consultations! You can come meet us, flip through pin-up materials, see our studio and products, and get to know us. Consultations can also be held over the phone.

9. Props are welcome! If there’s something you’d like to bring for your shoot, just make sure it fits your look and we’ll be happy to photograph you with it.

10. All photos will be taken on a white background.

Pin-up as a Gift ~ Niagara Pinup Photography

Heather wanted to give her husband an anniversary gift he’d never forget. He loves hockey. A lot. She snuck out a bunch of his gear to do this shoot. He had no idea.

She was apprehensive about getting the makeup done. The red lips. She doesn’t typically wear makeup, let alone red lipstick. But with the support of a friend and the advice of ourselves and the makeup artist, she chose to go all the way. Out of her comfort zone. Doing something different, something new, something awesome. The results were perfect.
